If You landed here from Illusration Friday Crunchy Please check out my real submission by going to my December entries. I was tired and entered the wrong link. Thanks. They wouldn't let me reenter my link when I realized what I did. This is last weeks entry.
Autumn's locks entangle the foliage changing their colours.
A harlequin marionette entangle sort of like when we let others pull our strings.
Had two ideas that I wanted to try and couldn't decide which I wanted to show Illustration Friday. Which one do you like better? I would love to know. I also love to hear people's comments. Thanks for stopping by.
absolutely the marionette one.
ReplyDeletejust... perfect... and i love the myth of marionette that in traditional performances, marionettes could speak freely where human actors could not. The small performers were used to pass on messages, warnings and grievances that would otherwise go unspoken.
Ooo..that's a tough one! The red haired girl fits perfectly with my vision of 'Annie', do you remember the film? And how I loved her! So warm at heart, so full of life. However, you also did a wonderful marionette...But I think, definitely Annie..x
ReplyDeleteI love both of them but my favourite is the girl. My granddaughter has hair like that.....wild and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteboth are gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful. Wonderful work.
ReplyDelete:))
ReplyDeleteim very nice to those who love Audrey as much as i do, and i know you do (aside from your gorgeous works, of course...).
i liked 'the autumn' one too, but i loved your marionette's expression. So gloomy. So sad. So dark. Thats the beauty of sadness. And you captured it perfectly.
I like them both, but I like the idea of the marionette for this topic the best, they are both lovely
ReplyDeleteWow, you got to post two fantastic ideas and illos for the topic! :-) They are both beautifully done, it's hard to chose. I think I like the girl because of all the light.
ReplyDeleteAck, don't make me choose! My goodness, the strings on the gorgeous marionette are a hopeless tangle. I'd grab my scissors for sure. But the painting of the girl...aaah, there's something so magical about that one. I can see the leaves growing out of her hair, which is an incredibly beautiful concept well executed. I love them both!
ReplyDeleteThey are both GORGEOUS illustrations! I am blown away by your lovely watercolors. And such great concepts, too...thank you for posting both. They are marvelous!
ReplyDeleteThey are both so beautifully done! I love the colors in the hair, but the marionette is a complete story in itself! Great work on both! ... I guess I have to pick one.... hmmmm ... the marionette.
ReplyDeleteI love both, they are great! But the marionette is my favourite, yes, it's absolutelly perfect :)
ReplyDeleteBoth are super but the marionette is such a quirky piece - it's my favourite!
ReplyDeleteNice work, it´s lovely and the colours are beautiful! Regards.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the tangled hair picture! It's a lot more dynamic than the other one. You do such marvelous things with watercolors.
